Friday, August 25, 2023: Flagstaff

  • 10:00 - 11:30 am: Public Kick-off Ceremony with Proclamations from Mayor's office and more

    • Location: Riverside Church of God in Christ, 419 S Verde St, Flagstaff 

  • 5:00 - 7:30 pm: Free, Public screening of the film, The Big Payback

    • The film will be followed by a Q&A about how growing up in Flagstaff shaped Erika into an artist and activist.

      • Location: Gardner Auditorium, Franke College of Business @ NAU, 101 E. McConnell Drive, Flagstaff

Saturday, August 26, 2023: Flagstaff

  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Erika will lead a Youth Acting Workshop for aspiring young actors (ages 14 - 18)

      • Location: Hal Jensen Recreation Center, 2403 N Izabel St, Flagstaff

    3:00 - 5:30 pm: Public ceremony and celebration featuring singers, dancers, artists, and opportunities for a meet & greet with Erika

      • Location: Flagstaff Mall

 

Sunday, August 27, 2023: Winslow

  • 10:30 - 11:00 am: Winslow Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Erika

      • Location: Winslow Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, 523 W 2nd St, Winslow

    11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Dedication of Erika Alexander Way

      • Location: Corner of 600 E. Aspinwall & 500 N. Donnelley, Winslow

  • 3:00 - 7:00 pm: Community Block Party featuring free food, live entertainment, local indigenous dance groups, and a meet & greet with Erika

      • Location: Route 66 Plaza

Monday, August 28, 2023: Flagstaff

  • Morning: Erika and family will visit some of the schools she attended in the morning

  • 3:00 pm: A very special private Tea Party honoring Erika's mother, Sammie Jeanne Alexander, for her many years of service as a community leader and early childhood educator

      • Location: Murdoch Community Center, 203 E Brannen Ave, Flagstaff
